Luke 10:2 Prayer Partners

“He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.” Luke 10:2-3

For us to even do the work God is calling us to, we have to have “workers” to work the harvest field. We set our alarms twice a day at 10:02am/pm in order to stop and pray for the worker, locally & in persecuted nations. The next verse is very clear that this “work” will not be without tribulation and it is for that reason we ask for your partnership in this.

As we follow Jesus in making disciples, training up, and sending out we are asking the Lord to bring along side of us prayer warriors that will commit to praying for our family, the worker, and the unreached. How to begin making disciples and equip others to do the same?
411 is a simple tool that equips new and seasoned believers by answering 4 questions on 1 sheet of paper in 1 hour or less.
4 Questions:
1. Why make disciples?- Identity
2. Who to reach? – Oikos map
3. What to say? – 15-sec testimony & 3 circles
4. When to get started? – set goals
This tool is useful when starting discipleship with an individual, group, church plant. It is used to equip brand new believers and seasoned Christians. We recommend continuing on to the Commands of Christ (www.obeyChrist.com) after the 411.

Our Role

  • IDENTIFY under reached areas of the world with less than 5% Evangelical/Gospel influence.

  • TRAIN up and develop “Instigators”, through serving through familiar context, then mobilizing them into  unreached areas/Nations all over the world.

  • DEPLOY trained workers (local and international), seeking to create a vision for rapid Gospel movement in the context of that Nation and people group.

  • EFFECT churches and disciples to be “Instigators” here, in their own home, church, work place, neighborhood and all arena’s they influence, which is the neighbors side of GMS.

  • FACILITATE,  coordinate and lead short term mission trips, meeting team needs for travel and ground logistics along with organizing translators, field partners, national pastors and missionaries.

  • ENCOURAGE churches and workers to become partners in a given region to MOVE THE GOSPEL!                                                                                                                            

  • We have so underestimated the power of disciple making!  It changes everything from trying to find more time in a day…to reaching the world as God intended it to be done.

We are the Smith Family: Jerry, Cissy, Katelyn (18), Nina (15), Steven (13), Rebekah (8) – a local missionary family committed to make disciples, train up workers, and send out missionaries, locally and abroad. We desire, in partnership with the local church, to train up local believers with tools to help them share their faith and disciple one another towards a more intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. We have began steps to plant a church in St Lucie West, Fl, joining others to help reach our community for Christ. Jerry serves voluntarily as Missions & Residency pastor at First Baptist Jensen Beach and is a faith based staffer as “Neighbors & Nations” Coordinator for Global Missions Strategies who is committed to mobilizing workers in unreached areas of the world to move the gospel where it has not been.
