This family of ours is finishing up school this week & this man of mine just got 4 classes closer to his masters! Can someone say “Hallelujah!” These last couple of weeks has reminded me of just how very lost I would be without Jesus. I’m grateful for those reminders...they draw me to the Word like a thirsty kid to a hose bib on a hot south Florida summer day. Been drawn to Psalms lately as I find such comfort & incredible encouragement in them! So in lite of our family, along with others I know, finishing up school this week thought I’d share this Psalm :) “Praise the Lord, my soul. I will praise the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing.
Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord their God.
He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them—he remains faithful forever.
He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry.
The Lord sets prisoners free,
the Lord gives sight to the blind,
the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down, the Lord loves the righteous.
The Lord watches over the foreigner and sustains the fatherless and the widow,
but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.
The Lord reigns forever,

I realize for some, Mother’s Day is not such a great day. For some, their moms are no longer here & their are those even now whose relationship w/their mom is broken.
Honestly, at one point mine was broken as well, but God...thankfully in His timing & His ways He mended what I allowed to be broken, forgiveness was given & received & He reconciled a relationship hurt by years of selfishness, misplaced priorities & alcohol.
I’m grateful for all the sweet posts of moms day stuff by my friends, but I do pray for those that can relate to the above, I pray you don’t allow another moms day go by w/out reaching out to reconcile w/your mom.
I’m forever grateful for what God has done in my life to be able to have the relationship I do have w/my mom.
I would have missed out on so much & so would have my kids.

In light of what’s continuing to come out of the dark & into the light.....
“The Lord is a God who avenges.
